Other Things to Know

  • If you use an ACH debit block, you'll need to add our new Company ID to your list of approved payees. Visit tax.virginia.gov/debit-block for instructions.

What's Coming Later

This is a multi-year modernization effort. When we're done with the transition, you'll be able to file, pay, and manage all of your taxes in one place. This will be a 4-year implementation process, with different taxes moving to our new Online Services platform each year. We'll be maintaining multiple systems for a few years. Our goal is to minimize disruptions during this transition as we improve and modernize our systems.

Once we've moved sales and withholding taxes to the new platform, we'll begin transitioning other taxes.

Later rollouts will include:

  • Corporate income tax
  • Pass-through entity income tax (PTE)
  • Individual income tax
  • Other miscellaneous taxes

Check back for further updates, details, and resources about this transition.
